No one's ever wanted him to just be himself. No one's ever let him. He wasn't even sure, for most of his life, who he even was. But from the beginning, Juliet's never asked more from him than who he is, and she gives him the space to learn who he wants to be. It means so much, and it makes him love her more.
"Let me walk you back," he urges, carefully standing with her and taking her hand.
He smirks a little darkly, letting out a sigh. "Well, alright then, guess I ain't needed."
He knows she can, they both know it, but he'll still be watching to make sure she gets inside safely before he goes back in. Still, he has to steal another kiss before he can let her go.
"Absolute fact," she promises, then kisses him one more time goodnight before she heads home. Once she's in, she strips to nothing and crawls into bed, pulling his pillow close.
She was right, he did make her warm and drowsy, and before she can conjure up his face to fall asleep to, she's gone, still curled around his pillow, asleep on his side of the bed.
He gets off work a few hours later, and it's just an hour before dawn. Juliet's still sleeping, thankfully, so when he gets home, he strips down to just his boxers and crawls in to bed behind her. Wrapping around her, he spoons her with a protective hold on her, pressing a tender kiss to her shoulder as he closes his eyes.
"What the lady wants, she gets," he growls a little, low in his throat, as his hand curves around her thigh and he pulls her closer to his body. His fingers dip into her first, stroking slowly.
He does just that, trailing kisses over her skin as he tangles a leg with hers. "Tell me about your dream, baby." Then he presses closer, thrusting into her.
In their time together, he's watched her blossom into this more confident woman who knows what she wants. She's not shy about showing him what she needs, and he kisses the back of her neck as he touches her while thrusting against her.
Gasping his name, Juliet cries out, jerking just a little as she shatters around him. It isn't enough to aggravate her injuries, all she feels is bliss and pleasure, and she tries to pull him with her.
"James," she whispers, an encouragement, and a whisper of love in the way she says his name.
He's worried for just a second until he hears her say his name, and he knows she's okay. She feels good. "Got ya, baby," he gasps out, and he thrusts one more time, climaxing with her and grunting in pleasure.
She knows that now he'll be tired, ready to sleep after working all night, so for now, she doesn't move away or do anything other than snuggle closer, dragging just the sheet up and over them.
"Nightshift has perks when I'm off the next day," she murmurs once she can breathe.
He keeps his arm wrapped around her, pressing his face in close so his chin is against her shoulder. In response to what she's said, he just mumbles something and grunts, a clear sign he's already falling asleep.
"I love you." Juliet pulls his hand up to kiss the back of his hand and lays there until she knows he's out for the count. Then, she gets up just to clean herself up a little before curling back into bed, facing him now. She tucks herself right into his arms, snuggling close and falling back asleep.
She didn't go to bed until after a shower at about three in the morning, so she's out deeply, right with him.
James wakes up first, and when he sees Juliet still sleeping, he smiles tenderly as he strokes her hair back from her eyes. Kissing her softly, he keeps a protective hold on her. She needs the rest, so he doesn't want to move, just wants to enjoy this as long as he can.

"I'll be fine. I survived in this neighborhood after the mass murder, remember? I can make it during the peaceful Hippie era."
It's a joke, and her lips turn up in a smirk, amused at herself

"You're needed. I'll always need you."
Just not this way, not right now.

"Wanna fool around?"
It's a joke. Mostly. Maybe.

"I was dreaming about you," Juliet sighs softly. "Now I wanna feel you."

She's also already wet, and she murmurs. "I told you I was dreaming about you."

"We were at that little lagoon. You had me stretched out in that tall grass," she breathes out.

"How was your sandwich?" she asks with a quiet laugh that ends on a moan.

Juliet takes his hand, pressing her lips to his fingertips before guiding him between her thighs, wanting him to touch as he moves inside of her.
